Class-Wide FIT (CW-FIT) is an evidence-based classroom management program that has been proven to increase student engagement while reducing problem behavior in elementary, middle school, and special education classrooms (Orr et al., 2020). CW-FIT has been investigated in 16 single-case design studies and 2 randomized control trials indicating that use of CW-FIT results in improvements in on-task behaviors in the classrooms. Despite the strong evidence supporting CW-FIT, a lack of methods to build school district capacity and to cost-effectively coach teachers are barriers preventing CW-FIT from reaching urban to rural students across the country. The current study addresses these barriers through the development and integration of a district coaching model paired with targeted implementation supports. CW-FIT is comprised of four components: 1) lessons and pre-corrects are used to address common behaviors; 2) a group contingency framework that allows students to work together to earn points for engaging in desired behavior; 3) behavior specific praise; and 4) rewards that are earned by teams for reaching goals set.
