The Central East MHTTC in collaboration with the National Center for School Mental Health (NCSMH) offers a school mental health webinar series with a focus on advancing high quality, sustainable school mental health from a multi-tiered system of support, trauma-sensitive, culturally responsive, and equitable lens.

In this 2-part Pride Series Implementing Policies and Practices to Support LGBTQ+ Youths in Schools, participants will be able to:

  • Describe systemic and environmental variables that contribute to mental health disparities among LGBTQ+ youth.
  • Identify anti-discrimination policies and inclusive practices that can be implemented in schools and other youth-serving settings.
  • Explore strategies to develop safe, welcoming, and LGBTQ+-affirming environments for youth.
